i dont think so. i dont remember the biology term for it, but hair is 1 of those things that dont fall under the category of form fits function. nowadays it doesnt really matter that we have body hair or not. there are slight variations in the genes among the races that can cause such differences. aijin is absolutely correct environment has a lot to do with natural selection. populations adapt to the environments.

I think that there are 2 "races" of people that are the most advanced...1 being asians, the second being native american indians (in terms of physical advancement only- less hair, keener sences and ect). I do however believe that asians are smarter than most other peoples, i believe this simply because my 3 year old child does things other children his age who are a different race do not do! he knows how to READ on a 2nd grade level, he can do simple math (adding, subtracting, and multiplying 10s), his speech is highly advanced and he uses vocabulary a typical 3 year old does not use, as an example, we were sitting on the portch last night and it was dark and we could see all the stars...i said 'look that's mars, do you want to learn about mars Andy?" and he looked at me, as serious as can be and said "don't you think it's a little late for an ASTRONOMY lesson mommy?" how many 3 year olds do you know who use the word astronomy???? lol

I doubt very much that less body hair means a race is more physically advanced. Asian noses are generally flatter, so in that case they are more apelike, which would make us less physically advanced. I think the lack or presence of body hair probably has to do with evolving that way because of the environment that a race lived in.

Congrats on your kid being smart, but smart kids can come in all races. There must be other non-asian kids out there that are also ahead of their time.

I agree with you to a point, however, 90% of all children genius' are asian.
