Basically because it's another stereotype. It's not true of every Asian guy of course.

Just that non-Asian women tend to think Asian guys are shy overall I guess. Then once we non-Asian women come into contact with Asian guys, we find out it's not true of all of them.. and that it depends on the person just like with all races.

You might be right about some of them. But those are the kind of girls you want to stay away from anyway.

You need to look for girls (white or any race) that are open-minded.

It takes a special kind of girl to see "outside of the box" and get past any racist crap she has been "taught" or shown. There are tons of us girls out there. You just need to find us.. or THEY might find you.

I'm decent-looking, and it's bad when I'm checking out at a grocery store and high school girls who look popular don't have the dignity to look at me. Instead, they look past me.

Most pianists I've seen in recent memory are female asians or male europeans.

Just goes to show we all predicate base on our own personal experiences which may or may not be correct... Hmm, now there's a thought.

There's some truth to the shyness thing..
When I worked at NIH, there were literally hundreds of asian guys that worked there....
They would smile and flirt but never approach me. Perhaps they assumed I wouldnt be interested? who knows? and I assumed because of cultural pressure that they would only date their own people so I was too shy to approach them as well. I felt intimidated.

So thats why I went with the online dating. That way I would know in advance if they would date us white chicks...
Of course, once I had a taste of Korean, I was hooked lol
