When many people see a pretty non-Asian woman with a good-looking Asian man the question that pops into their heads is "Why's she with him?" more often than "Why's he with her?"
It's only natural. We've been told so often about the desirability of non-Asian women that we simply presume that an Asian man too would find a pretty non-Asian women desirable. But we are left to guess at her possible motives for being with him. Not that there aren't hundreds of thousands of handsome, charming and successful Asian men who, by all rights, should be attractive to women of any race. But we are all too aware that American society has built up many negative preconceptions about Asian men that would take extraordinary consideration, some special X factor, to overcome.
The many examples of famous AM/WF couples (Mr/Mrs Yo-Yo Ma, Ming Tsai, Scott Oki, Charles Wang etc), don't really help, merely reinforcing the common presumption that the AM must be wealthy and able to provide an exceptional degree of financial security, material comfort or social status. Another common suspicion is that he must be unusually charming, cultured or sexually gifted. Then there's the old standby -- that the woman must have some odd fixation on Asian men or Asian culture.
Of course intellectually we know better. Just as there are many independent-minded Asian men who see through blonde bimbo stereotypes to the real qualities of white women, there are white women and other non-Asian women who ignore stereotypes about Asian men. Which leads to the question: What's the real draw? Is it the black hair? educational level? smooth skin? cultural values? upslanting eyes? personality and character traits? Here's a chance for non-Asian women who love Asian men to set the record straight.

What do I like best about Asian men? Just about everything. It's the physical appearance, their ethic values, the attitude they have. Most of them anyway have this about them that is so appealing to me.

It's crazy how some people have to analyse everything all the time. Who cares why people come together and what color they are.

I like Asian Men and that is it period. I have never felt the need to explain to anyone why. It is my preference and that is how it is.

What do I like best about Asian men?

Okay, I will answer this based on my own experience.

1. Most Asian men seem to be more centered on family and careers than themselves.

2. They know how to treat a woman. In my experience, most other men are selfish and worry about what they can have or want. Now, I am not saying ALL the other races of men are this way. Remember this is all coming from my own experiences. It's just MY opinion, so no body go into orbit about it..OK?

3. Asian men know what it means to have alot of hardships. OR I should say Asians overall know this. Asian men have had to fight to make things happen for them. Unfortunately this sucks but it's true. It actually makes me angry when I think or talk about it, because there is no reason why they should have been repressed like they are. I never understood why Asian were treated in the way they have been by other races. They are people too and are actually better in my opinion. MY OPINION OK? Anyway, because of what they have had to fight for has made them stronger and more spiritually aware in many ways. I hope I didnt lose you guys with that long winded explaination there. But my point is, that they are more mature in many ways in how they view life. This is the kind of man that appeals to me. A man that can "think" outside of this box that society has set up. One that can see when bullshit is around and can strive past that and BE A MAN. That is sexy as hell to me. That will get me everytime. Alot of Asian men see past that box. They have had to. It's also pounded into their head by their family (family values and responsibility) and most of them learn from it and keep it with them.

There are several reasons why I like Asian men and it would take me pages to continue answering this.

I have a Korean boyfriend and I have to say that he treats me the way I want to be treated, which is good. His mind works differently from the white guys I dated. He seems more accepting of me as a person and he treats me so well that I can't imagine why I put up with the shit I did from the other men I dated.

I have noticed that he is close to his family and there is a sort of "clan" thing going on with him and other Koreans. I don't know how to describe this exactly but I see it.

I am trying to understand Korean culture more and although he has a little bit of a temper he is a passionate and gentle man.

Even though the analyzing seems retarded, the idea of an Asian man with a non-Asian woman is something that most people don't see that often, so they are going to ask this question. We should have a proud, positive answer for it... until such mixed couples become so commonplace that the question (and answers to it) seem boring.

The physical attraction can't be denied, but it is more than that. I have dated only Asian men in this millennium (I like the way that sounds! LOL), and I like the way I have been cared for. There's no denying that Asian men are so much more interested in pleasing a woman....
