Hong Kong actor and director Stephen Chow's new film CJ7 (previously titled ‘A Hope’) is a sci-fi comedy about a poor Chinese laborer and his son.

Stephen Chow stars as the laborer while Kitty Zhang Yuqi, a rising star in mainland China, makes her feature film debut as a beautiful teacher who is actually an alien. Stephen Chow’s son is played by a 9-year-old girl called Xu Jiao. It is said that Xu Jiao is the lead actress in the movie.

A girl plays his son?? Nuts, considering the one child policy in china and they couldn't find a boy to fit the role. What is Chow saying by doing that? That in order to make it you have to be pretend to be a male child even you are female.

Ohh, it's a comedy.. I get it.

What is it about?
Steven Chow's new project has finished shooting in Ningbo, where Chow's ancesters come from. The movie title, Changjiang No.7, is inspired by the mission that sent the first Chinese astronaut into the space from China.

This film is said to be a Sci-fi comedy. The female protagnist is possibly a robot. The new actress playing the leading role, 18 years old Zhang Yuqi has professional acting training in Shanghai Drama Academy.

Aparently Stephens character finds a small toy ship he gives to his song. The toy turns out to be a real space ship.
