new show Samurai Girl
I just saw a commercial for a new show that will be starting soon I think on ABCFamily. It is called Samurai Girl. It seems to be a cliche show but I do wonder if it will succeed. I wonder in this case is some exposure better than none at all, though stereotyped.

Plot:A teenage girl tries to balance a normal life as the adopted daughter of wealthy parents with the Samurai traditions of her ancestors.

oh the pain...wasn't there a show back in the 90s called "All American Girl"? I guess it looks like the only way Asian-themed shows can kinda work if there are martial arts....kung fu: legend continues, martial law, and now this

no disrespect, but the show looks dumb. Come on, if hte girl is adopted then how does she know she has Samurai ancestors? ANd one of hte leads is a Caucasian male? Gee, something to look forward to watch, in my opinion. I guess even wm/af suffer from their own stereotypes and aren't portrayed realisticially eitehr.

I've read on soompi that the they're planning on making this a TV series (Season one, season two, etc.)Has anyone watched it? I didn't. Is it as dumb as it sounded and is it very stereotyped?
