Blind South Korean Piano Prodigy Yoo Ye Eun played for preschoolers at a childhood education center last Thursday 3rd July in Singapore. She who has not never had any formal piano lessons was in Singapore for a brief visit after being invited by the Young Women Muslim Association.
She showed her talent of being able to play any tune after one listen by reciting the folk song “Rasa Sayang” for her audience in Singapore.
Born blind and adopted in July 2002, Ye Eun’s talent went unnoticed until she was three years old. One day, she heard her foster mother singing a popular song which she reproduced on the piano. After appearing on YouTube and the Korean TV show “Star King”, Ye Eun shot to stardom immediately. Her parents are now looking for a suitable teacher for the prodigy, in the hope that she would become an accomplished pianist someday.
Ye Eun also performed for Singaporean Prime Minister Lee Hsien Loong at the Young Women Muslim Association’s 55th anniversary celebrations on Friday, 4th July before heading back home the next day.

It’s nice to see her talent being acknowledged overseas as well.
