Paul Kim American Idol Season 6



Paul Kim born in 1981 auditioned in LA for American Idol Season 6. He is from Saratoga, California. Kim is 25 years old, and being Korean-American, his motivation for auditioning was to alter the stereotypical Asian image that William Hung gave during the previous seasons. His performance received unanimous praise from the judges as Randy mentioned that Kim has one of the best male vocals he has heard this season. In contrast to their early praise, the judges mentioned when they put him through that Paul made it to the top 24 by "a split decision". He sang barefoot during all of his performances.

José "Sway" Penala born, 1978 is from South San Francisco, and he auditioned for American Idol Season 5 in San Francisco. He was the only Asian-American who made it to the semi-finals this season. He has performed with groups such as DnH and 6th Day. He wore a Fedora hat and coat and a military dog tag at his performances during the season.



A.J. Tabaldo born 1985 auditioned in Los Angeles for American Idol Season 6 and is from Santa Maria, California. He is 22 years old. Tabaldo is half-Filipino and half-
Portuguese, and auditioned for American Idol five times.



Gregory Mangindin Lorenzana, Jr., who is better known as Guji Lorenzana. Born May 11, 1982 in Long Beach, California. Left season three American idol to pursue a career as a solo alternative artist.
