YG says: Se7en would have a success rate of less than 1%

Message from YG

SE7EN

Up to now, there has not been any case where a Korean or Asian singer is able to succeed in major music overseas expansion in the U.S. I also thought a Korean singer doing an overseas expansion in the U.S. would have a success rate of less than 1%.

Especially for SE7EN, he already established a constituency in Korea and Japan, but now it is temporarily on hold in order to do overseas expansion in the U.S. It's really a burden to have a failure rate of 99%. However, obstacles are already expected, so I am more concerned about raising the success rate of 1% rather than expecting luck to happen.

So to make the possibility of the success rate to be higher, it's essential to take the right steps. So far, it's fortunate to have good people around him.

I already have announced that the producer for SE7EN's debut album is Mark Shimmel, the producers are Rich Harrison and Noize Trip, and the rapper Fabolous is working with SE7EN.

There was also something else that has been added for the last few months when I didn't give any new messages.

Another well known rapper has been also featured. Now, America's most famous producer, Rodney "Darkchild" Jerkins has joined us and already has done a record with SE7EN.

It's a bit difficult to briefly talk about Darkchild..

Most recently, he has produced the first single from Janet Jackson's upcoming "Discipline" album, called "Feedback," which is now available on iTunes. The word "Darkchild" appears in some form in many of her tracks. There have been many hot responses from the people for that single.

Darkchild also did Michael Jackson's "You Rock My World," Destiny Child's "Lose My Breath" and "Say My Name," and Beyonce ft. Jay-Z's "Déjà Vu." He has worked with other musicians such as Mary J. Blige, Whitney Houston, Brandy, TLC, Brian McKnight, Toni Braxton and so forth.

Since he is really busy and hard to work him due to his schedule, we had only planned to work on one track with him. However, he was really satisfied with SE7EN's results of the record, so he might produce some more tracks. ^^

SE7EN's album in the U.S. is almost done. The most important thing left to do is that we make contract with a record company label who will be able to him promote in the U.S. I hardly can believe it now, but currently the president of the NO. 1 label in the U.S. market and the head of our company are now in a conference with the contract.

It's a little bit early to come to a hasty conclusion, but it is expected that there will be a good outcome. I want to say more, but it's not the right time to say.

The due date of the debut album is drawing near, so in about 2-3 months, the detailed information of his album will be revealed to the public. I know you guys are anxious to hear about it, but please wait until then.. ^
