What a nightmare, between moving into my new place and helping to set up our new firm, I've been quite frazzled.

My life is completely different--working on getting accustomed to it all and feeling NORMAL. Still getting accustomed to the empty nest, as well.

Slowly, but surely, it's all coming together.

Well, the move is still ongoing. This weekend was a KILLER--ibuprofen has been my best friend the last couple days. I had so much stuff that we took to the Goodwill. I am a bit of a packrat but was proud of myself for just being BRUTAL in putting things in the giving-away bin. I found people to pick up the washer, dryer, entertainment center, and, almost the HUGE air conditioner that's installed, but they messed up by not bringing a ladder and I was pretty pissed. So, I still have to deal with...

My washer is getting hauled off on Saturday as my new apt with my honey doesn't have hook-ups (*sob*). Trying to get that 'never quite done pile' completed. I swear, I wish I could pull a Sleeping Beauty and wake up when this move is all over. Seriously, I have so much to do, it makes me feel like not doing anything at all--so overwhelming!

I wasn't feeling well, so I decided to come home early. I'm tired, so I'm just going to lie down on the couch and drink a few beers. Other than that, I'm feeling much better. Tomorrow is the big day, the trip to drop my kidlet off at college, which might be why I'm not feeling so great. Mixed feelings, so many of them, but exciting times, for the both of us, I imagine. Life after kids leave home--every parent's fantasy at one point or another--can't believe it's pretty much my new reality....

Hmmm, think new change is an oxymoron--isn't all change new?

Been feeling down in the dumps lately. My little girl is going off to college and it's becoming REAL, finally.
