Financial tidbit to Canadian members. I received in the mail a promo from RBC Visa offering a Platinum no fee 1.9% introductory card for first 9 mos. Great deal for existing balance transfers or for your Xmas shopping should you need it. No frills, straight up, no hidden costs or fees that's not other wise stated in terms and conditions. I called them and it's for real. May want to call them and see if it's offered in your area. They accept paper applications only (don't know why). Fill it out if you qualify and drop it off at the nearest RBC branch. Call 1800 769 2511 to find out more details.

RBC's interest is calculated differently than other major cards. Min is $10 + any o/s interest for the month. Essentially this mimics a pseudo line of credit revolving feature.
