These things are bogus. I agree with Fifth Gear findings that it might be better for higher performing applications, which although high revving, I though the Civic Type-R as not a suitable car. Maybe it might do well with higher octane fuels as well but then again it kind of goes against the whole just top off your car with these additives and you will get instant power.
