As a car guy, I never stop thinking about cars. New cars, old cars, fast cars, classic cars, etc. etc. If I had a garage big enough AND enough dough in my wallet, the following would be my collection. What's in yours?
1)
Ferrari Testarossa- Yep, Crocket (Don Johnson) and Tubbs (Phlip Michael Thomas) drove one in the '80s classic tv show Miami Vice and I've been a huge fan since. Heck, I once caught up to MC Hammer near my college campus in his red one (I was on my scooter) and got his autograph (now worthless LOL). It's actually pretty "affordable" these days. I just can't afford the maintenance costs yet ($5,000+ for a major service as it requires the removal of the whole engine.
2)
Mercedes Benz 280SL- Angelina Jolie drove one in one of her lesser known movies (Life or Something Like It) and I think it's the most beautiful Mercedes Benz (save the 300 SL Gullwing, which cost over $1 million as opposed to this $30,000 example).
3)
Jaguar E-Type Series 1.5- I was totally smitten by it when I saw a blue one being displayed in the Museum of Modern Art in NYC. I consider it the most beautiful car ever made- period. Many have attempted to restore them but end up spending more time and $$ than they've ever imagined. A running/good example (not a show car) trades for about $50K+
4)
Porsche 911 Carrera 4S- Well, I have to have something that starts everytime I turn the key (odds are not so great with the above 3 classics). It's fast, it's all-wheel-drive ("Honey, it's a safe car for us in the winter with enough room in the back for a babyseat. See how practical I am?

)
But what if I need to go to Best Buy and pick up something large or Costco, Home Depot, etc.? What if I decide to make a burger run to In & Out at 2 in the morning and bring it back home? I mean, there's no way I'd carry food in these other cars nor risk parking in a lot and get the doors dings or even worse, dented. Here's the solution and #5 on the list:
5)
Honda Fit- It's small on the outside but with huge capacity on the inside. It's lightweight so it's still nimble and fun to drive and while the engine is weak powerwise, it does get more than 30+ mpg. Everyone I know who has one loves it. It's the ultimate daily driver that you don't mind getting it dirty or visit that friend who lives in a shady neighborhood.
