This is something I came across completely by accident on YouTube. I was searching for videos of three-wheeled vehicles and one thing lead to another. What we have here is the Go-One, which is based off a newer human-power vehicle class called velomobile. As per Wikipedia, a velomobile or bicycle car is a human-powered vehicle, enclosed for protection from weather and collisions. They are virtually always single-passenger vehicles. They are derived from recumbent bicycles and tricycles, with the addition of a full fairing (aerodynamic shell). There are few manufacturers of velomobiles; many are homebuilt. Some models have the operator's head exposed; this has the advantage of giving the operator unobstructed vision, hearing, and some cooling, with the disadvantage of being more exposed to weather.

I learned that most velomobiles are DIY projects, which means people like you and I can build one if he have the desire and a bit of money to construct one.

f-ing expensive tho.. for that price it shud have an electric motor. that would be the shiet.

The reason why it is so expensive is that this is an extremely low production product. Plus many of the materials used is not typical for this type of vehicle. But the video suggested there is an electric assist for those traversing a hill. I still think this is cool. I would sport ir.

I hope to see this vehicle increase in interest with the rising cost and concern for petroleum and transportation.

Those are just cool. There is a guy in my town that drives something like that, we always see him on our break. It is a three wheel bike that you lounge the same in but the suroundings are more of a vinyl product like for a tent. Still pretty cool.

That is cool WyteAnjal. I like the Go-One a lot but the price is very steep... I wonder about building one myself.
