During the qualifying session at the Jerez circuit in Spain, Colin Edwards saves himself from a crash. The front tire started to tuck in and take him with the bike but he manages to save it. The type of crash is what you call a lowside as demonstrated in the first video. The second video is Colin getting a out of a moment.





Here is the opposite of a lowside... a highside crash.

Anytime. This is one of the biggest crashes I ever saw. Shinya Nakano's tire exploded on the front straight of the Mugello circuit going well over 200mph on the Kawasaki ZX-RR. Too bad the replay is in slow motion because it doesn't give the full effect when it happened live. What was cool is that he eventually got up and started walking moments later albeit feeling some pain.

think colin edwards vid was luck and physics. any more move and his ass would be smack down. lol.

Interestingly enough Nicky Hayden did the same thing in the actual race. He was in fourth position behind Yamaha riders Jorge Lorenzo and Valentino Rossi. The front tucked in and he droppped his elbow from allowing the bike washing out from under him. It was pretty amazing.
