Well I have seen this Chinese man twice, he is from Shanghai. It is still pretty early with us but I need to know a bit more about the culture over there. What are customs and things I may need to know. He is still not great with English and he has said he dont miss where he has come from. I just need advice from men who lived there or know what it is like there.

It's hard to just start generalizing about people, because everyone's an individual. But here are some good ones I've found.

For example, I'd say Chinese men in China are more reserved when talking about sex, but I've had Chinese men in China try to strip naked on webcam after about 5 minutes..so there goes that theory!

Some other little tidbits that come to mind off the top of my head:

Oh and never get him a clock as a gift, the word for time sounds close to giving death or something like that.

Never offer to share a pair (fruit) because it is considered bad luck for couples (the word is close the word for breaking up a relationship)

Don't expect for him to tell his family about you until you are really serious.

I think if you ask a lot of scorned American women, they would probably say that American men cheat more. Unless these ladies have experience with every type of man, how can they compare?

I wouldn't say more than "any other race of men". That would be difficult to assess in the first place. First you have to prove that he was unfaithful and second to admit it for purposes of data. However, what can be measured are divorce rates. As for adultery being illegal, it's only illegal if you get caught. That applies to any law on the books not just adultery. So I wouldn't doubt many are cheaters but certainly not more or less than any other country. Here's an article on Korea where adultery was made illegal since 1953. It certainly hasn't quelled divorce rates and civil suits.. In fact the article states more women are becoming cheaters.

But is it really effective? The chinese model is very similar to the Korean model which has been in practice since 1953. According to recent data, negative.. I see the same patterns in korea which china is going through now with its economic boom. Having worked and lived in HK/China I can tell you many a conversation I've heard of guys having affairs, concubines, etc. Although it appears to be much more readily accepted by women than their counterparts in the west. It's one thing to say you disagree with an affair but to pursue it as illegal and sue in civil courts in asia is altogether another matter. Most women in asia wouldn't though that's changing with more females in economic power positions than in the past.

I agree, I found there will be cheater everywhere but I found more to be western. I think it is how they are brought up and their values...

I also notice that, alot more woman cheat now...I would never but I know MANY who have and will.
