I came to my favorite HK cafe at around 5:30pm having a late dinner by myself. I was enjoying myself until a group of filipino guys(21-30's) about 7 of them came to a table next to me. They kept talking in tagalog which I understand and minding my own business. I noticed that since I saw me by myself, they would project "indirect" comments at me just to see if I will be mad. They kept noticing that I ignore their childish rants and small talk. So when they saw that I was eating well done steak, and using a knife and fork...they were either envious or wanting to create trouble. So I ignored them and luckily when they got their food, I went to the cashier and gave my money and tip right away. I noticed that alot of aggressive asian men once in awhile don't like me for no reason. I don't know if it is their insecurity or that I look nerdy to them. They don't even look like thugs. Anyway, I like to stay out of trouble alot. I don't like to pick a fight with any of them as much as possible. But when push comes to shove, I will have to defend myself if they lay a hand on me. I wonder if any of the guys here also experienced this before. I have nothing against people...and it is interesting to see that in general when a group of asians guys are together, one of them likes to "act tough" just because he has his buddies to back him up. That is one of the things I deal with as an asian guy.

There are bullies in every race like there good and evil?

Teenage punks in every race and culture. I see it as a group of school yard bullies giving you the "business" much less than a race issue. I see the same thing here whether it's asian, indian, black, hispanic, etc. Teenage ne'er do wells exist regardless of skin color or culture. Think of it this way. If you lived in china all your life, you would still get bullies and teenage punks even if you are chinese. Of course, I can only base this on what you wrote and wasn't present.

I was never a bully... I don't see the point in punking people off because those geeks are eventually going to be more successful then you and will laugh at you 10 yrs later.

I develoed something calles SPIRIT..and even till recently life didn't play fair with me but now I use it to my advantage..my veangence is turning every thing ugly into somethiong very sweet..

Yeap getting bullied wasn't fun but it tought me a lot about human nature early.
