8 out of 10 visitors to Korea try kimchi: poll

Eight out of every ten foreign visitors have tasted kimchi, a survey found.
About 84 percent of foreigners said that they have tried kimchi while traveling around the country. A total of 2,825 foreign visitors participated in the survey released yesterday, which was conducted by the state-run Korea Tourism Organization. Bibimbap, rice with mix of vegetable and meat, ranked second with 62 percent, followed by two Korean barbeque dishes bulgogi and galbi with 58 percent and 47 percent.
The list of top 10 Korean menus also included "naengmyeon" or Korean cold noodle, "samgaetang" or chicken soup, and "kimchi jjigae" or kimchi soup.
Kimchi was favored mostly by Russian respondents with 93.7 percent followed closely by Taiwanese and Singaporeans. Asked why they tried kimchi the most, respondents said that the Korean dish is known widely as healthy food and it was included in every Korean menu.
The poll showed that foreigners were generally satisfied with the quality of Korean food and restaurants. However, it found that they had problems with communicating with restaurant servers on selecting menus.
It also found that visitors preferred to stay in hotels rather than in motels and youth hostels.

I make kim chi at my work. It's best described as the poor man's version, as I'm required to make large quantities in as short of time as possible. I essentially prepare the cabbage, make the sauce, and mix it.

I always wondered about "naengmyeon" or Korean cold noodle. I wonder how it taste but don't know if I could readily bring myself to eat it or order it. I might try it if someone else ordered it and I eat from theirs. I have in my head this idea of ice cold noodles. The people that have tried it, is it more room temperature cold or refrigerator cold?
