Getting hit on
I went to the mall today to drop off some mail at the post office. I was walking back to my car and saw this old ethnic guy who looked disheveled walking toward me. This guy was OLD- I mean in his 50s. In the back of my mind I knew he was going to say something to me. So as soon as he walks by me he says: "Hello, sweetie." I look back at this point and he continues his "game". My reply? "NASTY!" (I know lame. )

I think I should just wear a sign or shirt that says-you have no chance if you're not Asian and between the ages of 21-35.

What do you usually say when someone hits on you in a skeezy way?

Yeah I don't really have this problem either.

I'd probably just walk faster, maybe pretend I didn't hear. That's really passive-aggressive, but this rarely happens to me so I'm sure I'd handle it awkwardly.

I rarely get hit on by women my age (or even older) because I look younger than my actual age. So most of the time I am approached by younger women, which depending on their age I will turn down. Turning down younger people seems easier than older ones because it seems they are easier to deny as they are not as hard-heartened. Truth be told I have no idea how to help you since I have never been in such a situation.

I'm the exact same way... I always tell myself that if anyone says something to me right now I'm going to tell them off-blah blah blah. But I never really do. Today was the first time I actually spoke back to someone like that.

I seem to always get the attention of the "old" man. I sometimes felt I had a sign on my forehead that stated "WILL ACCEPT ANY OLD FART." It mostly freaks me out. While in NY, every morning and afternoon this same old man would say "Hi darlin." At first I would say hi back to be polite but as time went on his "hi" seemed kind of more expressive, so I stopped speaking. Then one day as I passed him, he started walking next to me. He said "I'm harmless darlin" and touched my arm. In my head I'm screaming "DON'T TOUCH ME!!!!" But what I said was "Please don't touch me" and I cringed from his touch and walked faster to my building (where supposedly he had a woman that had two of his kids, though he doesn't live there). I have a few more stores of OLD(er) men hitting on me but I won't go into it, I will say I seem to always do the ignore thing or the little girl speech or rather very polite routine. Sometimes I want to just scream "GET AWAY FROM ME YOU OLD PIECE OF CRAP OR I'LL CALL THE COPS" but I don't.

Sorry for all the caps. Touchy subject for me. Also sorry not sound advise for you Jackstar.

It's much easier when they are pissed off drunk, high, or smoked a joint. Yell as loud as you want. Chances are they won't even hear you... but they move the hell away from physical instinct. hehe. Works every time.
