Camera company Polaroid recently announced that it would no longer produce Polaroid cameras, much to the dismay and disappointment of Polaroid fans worldwide. Fanatics have surfaced in cyberspace to pay tribute to those iconic white-bordered instant photos.
Quite expectedly, you’ll find lots of scanned Polaroids in this blog: snapshots of family, friends, relatives, strangers, places, pets, inanimate objects, nature, food and a lot of abstract art and randomness.
There are also some posts on terrific Polaroid collections and displays. From time to time, entries from users sharing personal Polaroid stories, asking for tips or selling extra cameras also appear. The Polaroid camera may be headed for extinction with the arrival of digital photography, but the love for this icon will always be around, thanks to sites like this.

For underwater photographers, marine enthusiasts, snorkel fanatics and scuba divers, this community blog is a treasure chest inside a sunken ship.
It overflows with excellent-quality pictures of various sea creatures: manta rays, hammerhead sharks, jellyfishes - you name it, it’s here.
While the site is mainly in German, most entries have English descriptions and translations. But it’s not as if you need to read the captions. The amazing photos are reason enough to visit the site. The type of camera used and the location (including the Philippines!) are also mentioned in entries.
