I got to thinking about this because of the recent worst/embarrassing date/breakup threads, but with all the crap why do we do it? let's hear some positive things..
lol i know it seems like an obvious question, so let me ask this:

when your first meeting someone what's the best part about dates? what do you look forward to about it?
i know yall are just gonna say sex but anything else?
if you dont know maybe you could just tell us about your best date ever?

The best part about dating is getting to know another person and establish a deeper relationship with them. For me, the kissing was the best part. Sorry, I couldn't help it!

you know what i kinda miss too is just like hanging out with a girl too. you know doing stupid ass stuff around town, just talking. i think im usually so busy i dont get to go out and enjoy myself.

i dont really enjoy cruising for women barhopping it all seems kinda pointless to me. plus i think i just like it better 1 on 1. besides wondering about her and wondering how she thinks, if shes secretly naughty, what kinda stuff shes into is fun too. its like pushing buttons without really pushing them. (WTH looking over, i dont even get that last part but it made sense when i wrote it so ill keep it

Getting to know the other person is the best part for me. I know it sounds cheesy, but you can always have sexy with any stranger, but it's rare to find a girl that you can really connect to and make you feel like you are someone special.

When there's a connection ... that's the best part, because it doesn't matter what activity we choose. I agree with hylas .. some of the best dates I've had have been just hanging out downtown, talking, looking at the shops or sitting on a bench along the water. When I'm comfortable with the person and can just be myself ... can't beat that.

For me it's meeting new people. Even if nothing comes of it you can use the opportunity to network, make friends, or business contacts. Like Forrest Gump would say... Life is like a box of chocolates. You never know whatcha gonna get.

I know this one may not be considered dating but networking with some woman...here it goes...

In one of my blogs, I mentioned this one woman who looks like Mariel Hemmingway.....drop dead gorgeous woman I met at a metaphyscial store...she's taken too..and we exchanged numbers before meeting at Starbucks.

- I came in to Starbucks about an hour early and I brought my book. I was dressed up and look like a million bucks. About 3 minutes before she came through the door, I watched her walking down the street and as soon as she walked into the door, I felt the magic of anticpation of talking to her and exchanging ideas. Two women who were sitting next to me were discussing theology topics and as soon I came to shake her hand, it seemed like the world stopped and people noticed that...here's a guy meeting a drop dead gorgeous xf! People do take notice all the time. The best part of it all is the fact that I am going to see her and we are going to have coffee. That was the exciting part...another thing is the fact that she came over to see me which really impressed me even more.
