For those who are single (temporarily or by choice), what are your reasons? Honestly!

I would love to meet someone who looked like cute Fuji TV announcer Minako Nakano and who had a decent job (coz I ain't rich) and would, in a few years, want to get married and have some kids. Just never found someone like that but also I'm kinda of happy being single too so I haven't been out searching for the "one"

I am in the situation where it's kind of hard for me to have a relationship, because of my new assignment to Europe and all.

I am single because I am in no rush to date anyone. I don't like to date for the sake of being a person's boyfriend for a small period of time. There is no rush for me to meet anyone and settle down. It does not fit where I am right now as well.

I made a choice to just date women. At times, I feel like I want to be in a relationship but in my current situation, there are things I am working on. Like my focus on moving to WA state and having a brand new life. I don't want to pressure any woman that I am dating to move with me up there because they love it here in CA. The more I think about it....I think I am not ready to be a boyfriend to some lucky gal only because I have issues that need my immediate attention.

Combination of reasons I am single. I haven't gone out to meet anyone. In the past, when I was social, I liked the guy that didn't like me. I'm also uptight towards people I don't know so that doesn't make it easy to get to know me. I also don't put my feeling on the line to the guy I like (little confidence).

I gave up on approaching women for many years, for a number of reasons, such as the fear of rejection, the aggravation of dealing with mixed signals, not wanting to be seen as needy, etc.

Well, I am single because it is hard to find decent men or be found by them and I don't want to have a relationship just for a few years.

I finally want to meet the love of my life (I think one should be done with looking for a partner with 45) and be with him to the end of our days. I don't make high demands but the ones I do make need to be met. So I am rather single than in an unhappy relationship.

I'm single because I haven't had the luck of finding the right person after I ended a long-term relationship two years ago. I'm looking for a genuine relationship based on mutual affection/attraction and understanding . . . But I learned finding a partner is not always about whether one is anxious or looking. It's about whether two people with the same mindset meet at the right time and the right place. It could happen quickly or take a long while. You just never know.
