Ever hear that classic phrase and what do you...
... think when you hear it? Just wondering what you all think when you hear the phrase "...I'm kind of seeing someone." I always see this cliche line in movies and such. Is that used to blow someone off, indecision, fuck buddy reading between lines, or just dating someone else but not "couple exclusive" stage? Opinions, experiences?

To me "I'm kind of seeing someone" means that they are going out with someone but it's not serious. It's in between (meaning not just friends but they aren't in love, or HE is not in love). If I hear that phrase from a guy I stay away. It could be his way of telling me he's not interested. I don't have to be told twice. I figure he can come to me next time if he becomes interested. Usually people that are not seeing someone exclusively wouldn't even bother saying that phrase to someone. They would just consider you or not.
I don't think a "fuck buddy" would be considered in that phrase because people don't normally consider them someone they are going to get involved with.

It sounds like when I hear that phrase, that person is currently dating someone and it means that person does not know where that relationship is going to go...whether it is boyfriend/girlfriend stage or just testing the dating waters..seeing where it might lead.

I agree with Pro and Swede. If someone says that the person isn't worth the time. I think a considerate person wouldn't want to be the kink in a working system or even a disfunctional one because it can become even worse for you.

I don't know. If someone were to say that to me, I would just think that they are dating someone else and I wouldn't assume that they are screwing around with someone... What it might be used for is to blow someone off. That makes sense to me for girls who are afraid to hurt someone's feelings, that they would come up with that excuse.
