Suppose hypothetically, a guy has a girlfriend. He confesses to another girl that he likes girls, and it doesn't seem like his relationship is going to be ending in marriage any time soon. Suppose that they are (mostly physically) attracted to one another, the guy and that other girl. Should the girl go for the sexually flavored affair that may or may not end up anywhere?

sounds like a player line...completely unattached or nothing. Don't sell yourself short by going for the unavailable guy.

If he doesn't see his relationship going anywhere then he needs to end it. No sense in being party to hurting another innocent person.

Definitely not worth the time or effort. If you want to start something, end what you are involved in and then look for someone you want to be with, not just for a moment (unless you ARE looking for the rebound get back on your feet, jump start moment-make sure things are clear with that person thought).
