Height difference. Does it really matter to you? Discuss it. At first glance the answer seems pretty obvious but many cultures (including asian) have customs/traditions that the man be taller by like 5 inches and be at least 5yrs older in age. Yet others say love conquers all and height doesn't matter - the PC answer. Honestly, what say you all? Opinions?

I prefer a man to be taller than me. It must feels more natural to me.

I don't care for height (As long as not freakishly tall or small). For age though, if a little older or younger that's fine. But if extreme, like 10+ years, taht's, well, kind of disturbing for me.

i prefer the girl to be my height or shorter. it's just weird if they are taller. i'm 5-10 so that's usually not much of a problem. age isn't that big a deal either as long as they can't be my mom or daughter...

I don't mind height really. I've dated shorter guys and I've dated taller guys. The man I'm dating now is only a few inches taller than me, but it's perfect in my book. Height really doesn't mean anything, there's just a socially constructed rule (which can be seen underlined in fairy tails and whatever other stories of romance) that the man has to be tall so the girl can "look up at him" with love and adoration. There's also a "head under chin" thing that is supposed to be extremely protective and romantic. Images that most of us have kind of grown up with, so it sticks.

As far as age. Pffft. Age smage. Most of the guys I dated in the past were older than me by quite a bit. 8, 9, and 10 years. My dream boat is 9 years older, and there are no issues. I never felt uncomfortable with age differences. Age is just a number and doesn't guarantee maturity, immaturity, understanding or ability to relate.
