Have you ever noticed that when a girl goes through a break up she may change the way she looks or even cut her hair?

After my break up, I got a new hairstyle and grew out my hair and got a lip ring, not to mention all the retail therapy...

So ladies, have you ever done any of these things before? Explain.

Men, what do you do after a break up? Do any of you revamp your image? If not, what else is it that you may do?

Much of mine is spent in deep reflection that is accompanied by some thorough journaling to sort it all out. The last one I didn't do that but I did occasional writing. On the most part I try to pick up and move.

After a breakup, I tend to write, write then write some more. I keep a secret blog that no one knows about but me in which I write all my feelings, frustrations and EVERYTHING I think and feel. It's only meant for ME to read so I write straight out every single feeling and thought and I don't have to worry or be concerned if it sounds selfish, childish or anything.

Also, I meditate as much as I can. I reflect on what went wrong and where i went wrong in the relationship and try to learn from it.

I do all my crying in the very beginning and I let myself grieve properly. I believe if you bottle it all up inside.. you never get over it. I let myself feel all the pain in the beginning and cry as much as I need to. Then I start healing myself. I wait a time frame before going out with someone else because it's not fair on someone else who might fall for you but your heart is still with the ex.

no two break-ups have ever been the same for me. my heart just knows what it needs to do to heal, and I just have to give it time.

i cry ALOT in the beginning and try to get it all out of my system. i think crying is the best way to heal. i'll also talk to my best friends and tell them the situation over and over again until they're ready to choke me.

i'm always changing my hair, so i probably do change it after a breakup, but i usually get the sudden urge to work out at the gym and try to get into shape.
