A Little about APEX
Asian Professional Exchange:
It started out as a good idea scribbled passionately upon a restaurant napkin... "it is time to develop a place where motivated individuals can go learn more about their world, from others who lived experiences which some only dream about."
It came from a desire to meet the diverse needs of Asian professionals by broadening the horizon upon which they would choose their careers through expanding opportunity and through networking. And, it came from the desire to utilize the talents and influence of these professionals to create innovative and successful projects which benefit the community, whether it be the Asian Pacific American community or the professional community, through the exchange of ideas and the collaboration of effort. These desires, it turns out, were shared by many.
Today, an organization exists to serve as that place where young Asian American professionals can explore new career paths, meet peers and leaders who impart insights from their experiences, and truly understand what "community" means.
14TH ANNUAL APEX AWARDS GALA
Saturday, September 15, 2007
The whole is greater than the sum of its parts is a concept known as synergy. Since 1993, APEX has strived to create a synergy in the Asian Pacific American (APA) community. The mission of APEX is to be the premier membership organization for APAs in Southern California who have a strong commitment to excellence in professional development, community service, and cultural awareness. United by a clear mission, purpose, and vision, APEX board members, members, and other APA organizations come together to establish a movement towards improvement, support, and recognition in the APA community.
