Nanowrimo stands for National Novel Writing Month. (Link: Nanowrimo.org ) for those who are interested. Basically you don't win anything except the satisfaction of completing 50,000 words in 30 days... if you can. (My first year in doing something like this...) I'm going to be writing about fictional AM/WF couples from different time periods, and I would really appreciate the feedback on the ideas i'll give. That is, which idea would you want to see to become a story? I will use minimum of four story ideas for writing. I'll use top four ideas. (This will be a very lengthy post...)

Idea # One: Aska, Seia and Shen Xia
Idea # Two: Theresa, James Blackwell, and Liu Chiang
Idea # Three: Anastasia and Mongke
Idea # Four: Sui Cong and Bridget
Idea # Five: Alice and Chen Jing
Idea # Six: Lily Frank and Ongatta Takeshi
Idea # Seven: Serenity Lawson and Michael Park

Idea # One. (This is an idea from the book called SIsters of the Black Moon) It is 4,000 years ago, and two sisters, Aska and Seia who witnessed the destruction of their tribe, fled to ancient China. There they are welcomed into the city of Luoyang, among the people of Sushen. Right away the two sisters are claimed by Kuo Liang, leader of the city. Right away, Seia falls in love with Shen Xia, but Kuo Liang isn't allowing for her to leave him. What will happen to Seia's and Shen Xia's relationship?

Idea # Two. It is 14th Century AD, a time of Black Plague and Catholic dominance in Italy and everywhere else. Theresa is twelve years old, and is ripe for the age of marriage. Her family is poor due to high dowries for her older sisters, and decides to give Theresa away to a convent. Theresa, then, makes a conscious decision to run away and gets captured by an unknown assailant and is sold as a slave to a Silk Road Caravan. There she meets an orphan by the name of Liu Chiang, and is presented as a gift to James Blackwell, a son to one of the leaders. She falls in love with both Liu Chiang and James Blackwell. Liu Chiang and James Blackwell, who used to be best friends, are now worst of enemies due to their feelings towards Theresa. What will happen to their friendship when Theresa does make that choice?

Idea # Three. Around 13th century, Anastasia is promised to be married to a local Greek Orthodox priest, but then, Mongols arrive and conquer Russia. They destroy all of Anastasia's family, sparing only her. She is given to Mongke Bayar, and expects to be tortured and worse. Surprisingly, Mongke does nothing to her, and treats her like she is his own son or daughter. As years pass, Anastasia begins to fall in love with Mongke, but often feels as if she shouldn't because he is one of the people who helped Mongols kill her family. Will she be able to be at peace with herself, or will the ghosts of her family and dead fiancee continue to torture her?

Idea # Four. In 1870s, Siu Cong decides to travel to America for a temporary time to earn an education. Once in America, he is to live with a white family. There is only a father who earns his living as a shopkeeper and three daughters, Angelique, Bridget, and Stella. Angelique and Stella take pleasure with other classmates in tormenting Siu Cong's mannerisms and his speech. Only Bridget is kind to Siu Cong. Years pass, and two fall in love. However, Sui Cong's time in America is beginning to run out, and he feels torn in deciding whether or not he should continue to stay in America. If he stays, what kind of future does he and Bridget face?

Idea # Five. In 1840s, a high official of England by the name of Edward Falcon moves to China to oversee the sale of Opium. His family as well moves to China; a son, wife and a daughter. Edward is very close to his daughter Alice and very often, Alice has the same opinions as her father, and agrees that selling opium to Chinese is right. Few weeks after she moved to China, she meets Chen Jing, an orphan who is being taken care of by his older sister Jing Wei, because their parents have died due to the addiction of opium.

Idea # Six. It is shortly after World War II, and Lily Frank's older brother has died shortly before the atom bomb decimates Hiroshima. The two are very close and Lily has a hard time coping with life. She developed a hatred towards Japanese, and is horrified when she finds out that Ongatta Takeshi transfers to her class. How will she react to this intruder?

Idea # Seven. It is present, 2006, and Serenity Lawson is in love with her boyfriend Albert Hanson. However, Albert Hanson soon dies in a car accident, and Serenity is unable to cope with life. She turns to drugs and becomes promiscuous to numb her pain with losing Albert. She feels that she has nothing to live for anymore, and one day decides to commit suicide by jumping off a bridge. Before she could do that, she thinks she hears Albert's voice telling her not to jump, that he's back. However, that voice isn't Albert's and is in fact the voice of Michael Park, a Korean-American. Michael, feeling sorry for her, decides to take care of her, and eventually begins to love her. She, however, thinks that Michael is her dead boyfriend and is unable to face the truth that Albert is dead.
