A couple of interesting things happened this morning: let me tell you a couple of things first....

Well, Roxie's puppies are now 7 weeks old. They were born Feb 18. My sis and I had to put them in the garage in a big pen we made. It's warm now and winter is gone here in the deep south so they can be very comfortable out there. And besides, can you imagine 6 puppies running around in the house? As much as I love puppies and kittens, I am not however, willing to resign to being a pooper scooper.

Just this past weekend, we gave them their second dose of worming. So they are now ready to be given away as they don't even suck from Roxie anymore. They are HUGE let me tell you. You can tell they are going to be BIG dogs.

Anyway, I got out of bed this morning and stumbled out of my bedroom door half asleep as I usually do, and lo and behold, WHO do I find sitting in the middle of the dining room floor? Roamer... the little shit.. LOL. He got out of the pen (he is the biggest puppy) and managed to figure out how to get through the dog door and got into the house. I picked him up and gave him a scolding and put him out in the garage back in the pen. I went to take a shower, came out and THERE he was again the little rascal, running around the dining room again. Again, I scolded him and put him back. I went back into the bathroom, brushed my hair and teeth and I heard him again come back through the dog door. It has that distinctive sound. Then the little rascal came right into the bathroom and started trying to play with my feet.

As you can imagine, it's hard to be angry at a puppy. *Sighs*.. looks like they will need to go fast lol. They are getting too hard to handle now.

THEN, on the way to work this morning, i was driving down the highway when I saw something black walking in the middle of my lane. I realized when I came up to it that it was a little black puppy. I had to come to a stop because he/she sat down in the middle of the road.. There was this white truck behind me that was riding my ass and he got annoyed at me for slowing down to a stop and started blowing his horn at me.. I just shook my finger at him in the rearview mirror lol

Anyway I honked the horn hoping to make the puppy move off the road. The puppy moved but he started crossing the other side of the street. There was a truck coming on the other side and for a horrible moment, I thought he was going to hit the puppy. But he stopped and pulled over. He got out and picked up the puppy. I was relieved that someone got him because I was sitting there thinking I might have to pick him up and call the animal shelter or something. I can imagine everyones expression if I had to come to work with a little puppy. lol

So puppy shenanigans this morning...lol

It's hard to give animals away. But, if it's for the better, it's for the better.

LOL If I could have kept them all, I would have. But 6 puppies, plus two adult dogs was just WAY too much. My sister and I don't only have dogs. She has a bird and I have a cat. Yeah, a typical zoo.

5 of the puppies are now in good homes. I just kept one puppy, Thai Baby. He is such a cutie

I have to post some updated pics of him. I will get a good face shot of him.
