Leila has Super Dog
When talking about superheroes, people will automatically think about Superman, Spiderman etc, well in the movie "Under Dog", it is a smart beagle that can fly and has a sharp nose that is the hero. Do you want to know if beagles in reality are like this? Well then let's ask the beagle Beanie's owner Leila Tong to share some secrets with us!
Secrets for a smart dog
Leila originally wanted Beanie to be a dog doctor, but finally decided not to. She said, "The most important for a dog doctor is patience, although Beanie's personality is really caring, but he' way too curious and really hyper. When he starts to play, he doesn't know his strengths, so being a dog doctor wouldn't be too good. Although beagles are really smart, I've never wanted him to be specially trained, as Beanie's owner if he's happy then that's all that matters." Although Leila never wanted Beanie to become a trained dog, but as smart as he is, of course he has some tricks up his sleeve!
Secret Skill 1: Getting food.
Because Beagles are really curious animals, they also really like food. "Beanie loves food, when he was about one he already understood how to use his mouth to hold fruits. One time he even climbed onto the dinner table and ate all of the meat that my mom just finished cooking. Look at his chubby figure, and you can see how much he likes to eat!"
Secret Skill 2: Opening doors.
Beanie also has the skill to open the door. "Every single time our house has visitors; I bring my dogs out into the garden and close the glass door to not disturb the guests. But who knew the nosy Beanie opened the door by himself and led the rest of my three dogs into the house. It seems like not only can Beanie open doors, but he's a natural leader!
Secret Skill 3: Cheering people up
The intelligent Beanie can really understand the different meaning of Leila's facial expressions. "Beagles are famously passionate. Beanie usually likes to lick or kiss my face, when I'm sad and cry, he'll use both front paws and hug me or sometimes even accidentally knock me to the floor! Seeing him trying to cheer me up, my mood clears up a lot." A lot of guys want to be Beanie right?
