Okay I have been with my dog all day long. I took him to work with me even. I did not hear him yelp or cry out loud anytime today. But he is not walking on one of his back legs. I thought it was something in his paw but there is nothing there. I know he didn't break it because when I squeeze it he doesn't cry. But if I try to move it, he will start to squirm and whimper.

I feel so sad

Great question for Siren. She was in the vet program at Virginia Tech. Maybe she will chime in her opinion.

That happened to my golden retriever when I was a kid. He was out all night and came crawling back home with his tail between his legs literally speaking. His front left paw was the same way and was swollen at the first joint overnight. We brought him to the vet and told him what happened. He suspects he trepassed on someone's property and got hit with a stick. He said it was all the signs of swelling from deep bruising. The dog got antibiotics and pain killers. After 3 days the swelling disappeared and he was up and running as usual. Needless to say he didn't run off after that.

But the problem is that I have not let my dog out of my sight all day actually. He went with me everywhere. So I am confused as to why he will not walk on his leg and why it is hur and how it got hurt.

Talking about dogs wandering away. My mothers dog likes to roam around her acerage and he likes to attack anything that move (animals) He was stupid and attacked a porcupine. He had quills all over his face and in his head and legs. He is lucky one did not get into his eye. But I will tell you his wails of agony were unbearable. Even I was crying from them.

I am so sorry for you and your babypuppy wyte. Its hard when us fuzzmoms cant figure out what is wrong. Could it be that he hurt his leg slightly that its uncomfy to walk on? Like sprained or bruised his leg and maybe needs xrays to figure out what is going on.

Awww poor little guy. I can't think of anything to advise you other than take him to the vet. Maybe he hurt himself running or something.

It could be a sign of any number of problems if he hasn't done anything to hurt himself. It could be vascular, muscular or even a bone disease, my suggestion-get him to a vet immediatly.
