This little piggy had a cuppa
A tiny piglet has been named Tetley - because he's no bigger than a cup of tea.


Tetley was the smallest of a litter of eight Pennywell miniatures born to his mother, Poppy Two Socks, at Pennywell Farm, near Buckfastleigh in Devon.

Pennywell owner Chris Murray said "Tetley is the star of the farmyard."
Staff had to get through several false pregnancies before the brood came along - but are overjoyed with their 3in-high, 5in-long mini star of the pig pen.

Old English strains are used to breed the Pennywell miniature pigs, which never grow beyond the size of a cocker spaniel.
Most of the litter will be sold as pets with the rest being kept for future breeding.

too bad they'll raise him up fat....then rip his trechia out while he stumbles on the floor bleeding to death and gasping for breath....so that he can be bacon and ham.

Actually pennywell pigs are sold as pets like it says in the article. They are a cross breed of the kunekune rare new zealand pigmy pigs and regular english pigs.. They sell them as child friendly because they dont grow like a real pig. Last march there was a litter of 5 and they were are sold except for one which is kept for future breeding cause they dont want to overbreed with one pair.

Such a handsome piggy. I used to want a pet pig, but I live in an apartment and no little piggies allowed.
