I visited Nepal in 2005, when it was still a kingdom ruled by King Gyanendra. When I was there, tensions were high and there were frequent skirmishes between the army and the Maoist guerillas. Though the tension has now abated, it has left deep scars on the country and its people. Nevertheless Nepal is still a stunningly beautiful country with amazingly warm and kind-hearted people.

What kind of cam do you use, lens set up? I use the canon 40D and usually carry the sony H5 for lighter stuff. PITA when you have to carry a ton of lenses for every shot. What I hate about dslr's.. and dust mites. lol. I see blown hi lights.. What I usally do is lower the .ev value a stop or 2 to capture the detail and bring them out in shadow tool in PSCS. Sun and darkness is not a cam's best friend sad to say...

I now use a Canon 80D, but I only bought it very recently. All of my previous pictures were taken with digital cameras. The later ones were taken with a Fuji Finepix S9500. These Nepal pictures (I think around 2005) were taken using one of those rectangular silver digicams, I think it was a Casio model but I can't even remember now.. LOL!

And yes it is a pain in the neck having to carry all those lenses especially when you are trekking in the countryside, and have to climb up a slope!
