think its worth the investment to get a loan to do it? it says they distribute to 60,000 retailers.

so if i got a loan and made 100,000 of them and distributed them to 60,000 bookstores? hm i think i've confused myself

might be more cost effective, to take a little bit of what everyone has to offer share the loan.. thats if your not trying to be selfish, and keep all the money for youself.. you could split the money after a few published prints and get a nice "customer" list going.. year after year.

but.. i'm always trying to help everyone. not out to get rich.

half asleep here.. i didn't read, how many Piece per unit? my math sucks, but i got great instinct for probability.. i think i'm off to take a nap, i didnt sleep well, and to early to think for me.

I think it would make more sense to do some research on where you think you could make a sale and then approaching those businesses first... going into debt to print up 100,000 sounds like a big mistake. Why not do a targeted mailing of 500 first? Also, $20 per unit is pretty steep (unless it's full-colour hardcover, and even then... expensive).

What would you be selling?

there are printing company's that offer smaller packages of 500, does all the leg work, contacts people for you, and lets you store product for a period of time.. you just have to find them.. took me a year just about to settle for one company, and until i see what i am paying for, i am still very iffy!! but i needed to take the chance.. will let everyone know how happy i am on the outcome by next summer.

This won't answer your question really, but I am not a fan of Lulu, at least as a consumer. I was forced to by my biology lab manual from them a couple of years ago. It was so overpriced and the product was very low quality. The manual looked like I could've printed it off my computer. I had to buy it in two parts too, with accompanying color images in a completely separate "book," and they both fell apart before the semester was over (and I only used them once a week.)

I definitely think you should find a better printing company.
