Just wondering if it would be a no-no to post a link here to an e-vite to a Philly meetup for Asian men and white women that was organized by another group--would that be considered spamming?

A little while ago I organized an Asian male/white female meetup on an AM/WF discussion group, and in the interest of bringing as many people together as possible, I posted links on other like-minded groups. One newish group banned me because they called it "spamming." I was shocked by this because my intentions were good--the more people who show up, the better the chances of meeting someone you will really like!....

I may organize another one--please let me know if I would get into trouble by posting the link on this group. Thanks!

Thank you Lioness for asking before you posted anything about it.

I don't mind you posting about your meeting with another group at all. I am all for these meetings. It's not like you joined up on my forum just to post about the meeting and then didn't come back. You have already been posting. It would annoy me if you had just joined to post about the meeting then left and never participated again. But you aren't doing that so it's fine.

Sure go ahead and tell us about the meeting. And any more you plan in the future.

I do ask a favour in return though, Please tell others about this forum so we can continue to grow and expand. It's wonderful having others on the forum that support Asian men and other race female couples.

Thank you very much! I believe another Yahoo group member has already mentioned your site on the group for which I have organized meetups, but I will mention you again (including the positive attitude that is here!). I've just set up an eVite for an AM/WF meetup in New York City (there is voting on the days that are best for people). I will go ahead and give this group a plug there, and then I will post a link to the eVite as a new thread here.
