HAPPY FATHER'S DAY

to anyone on here who might be a father. If you aren't a father, then give your Dad a call lol


Unfortunately, my father is deceased now almost 5 years. But my sister and I will talk about him a lot today.

My father was a very honest and hard-working man. He came from a poor family but worked himself up to a high position in the company he worked for. He worked there 35 years before he died.

His family are typical country folks and they are hard-working like him. He was a lot like my grandfather (his dad). They were good people that would give you the shirt off their backs if they had nothing else to give you. These are the qualities my father had. He was the ultimate family man and we (my sis and I) were his biggest priorities in life. He was a good man.

My Dad could be stubborn sometimes and tended to judge in black and white. But that was the way he was. He had the best sense of humour and my sis is a lot like him in that way. Well, she tends to favour him in many ways. There are times I see these qualities of his in her and it makes my eyes tear up. It could be something simple like in a joke she would pop out with. It would remind me so much of him.

I was "Daddy's girl" growing up. I remember going everywhere with my dad when I was a little girl. I valued his wisdom in many things. I strongly believe that the finer qualities I have are inherited and installed in me from him.

I sometimes think I would give almost anything to see him again. I know just what I would do. I would give him a big hug and tell him that I love him and that I miss him so much.

So Dad, this is to you. I love you and miss you every day.

it's quite unfortunate your father didn't get a chance to meet your future husband (whoever that might be). but it seems that you were his pride and joy and he would've wanted nothing else but your happiness which i'm certain you'll find someday.

I had a nice lunch with Dad. My boyfriend and I took him out for a nice steak dinner. It's his favorite.

Mom and I made BBQ for Dad today. He relaxed and watched TV. I gave him some new leather work gloves for Father's Day. He is the kind that likes useful gifts and I knew he needed a new pair.
