I'm doing it for a week by myself and man, you ladies work hard. I've always been with my son all day long and all night long but I usually get my husband to cover a potty break and shower somewhere in there.

Well, can't tell my mom this without a seance so I might as well give you the intended appreciation and standing ovation. You are amazing women and I hope your kids realize it long before it took me.

I know just what you mean. I also appreciate single moms. My sister is one of them. I don't know how she does it with two kids and they are only 1 year apart.

I too do not understand how single mothers out there are able to do it... I have no patience with kids. I've been close to strangling myself whenever I babysat my sis's kids.

Gee, thanks guys! I've been a single mom since my kids were 3 (daughter) and 1 (son), and I give a lot of credit to my loving, supportive family for all their help. Honestly, though ... I never thought it was really hard until they became teenagers ... ugh ... but we all survived. Now my daughter is 19 and a sophomore in college, and my son is 17 and a senior in high school ... I'm so glad that I was able to watch them grow and become the amazing people they are.

hehe when it's your own kids, they aren't as annoying. It's just natures way of making you love your kids!

I used to nanny/babysit all the time, and man I was tired at the end of the day, but with my son, it's as natural as breathing.
