If you had to choose between having money or having great health, what would you pick?

You can only pick one.



I would pick great health because what good is it having money if you won't live long to enjoy it.

What do you think?

Health without a doubt. It doesn't take much for me to pick that one. I would rather be healthy and enjoy my life. Of course, it helps to be rich. But what good is it if I won't live long to enjoy it anyway.

I'll pick health. Wouldn't be pleasant to live an unhealthy life.

Let me play the devil's advocate. Health and money have a symbiotic relationship. If I'm wealthy I can afford to get good health care. I would get better and enjoy my life with the wealth and time I have left, short of the health issue being a terminal disease. Likewise what good is having the best health in the world if you can't afford to enjoy it?? Bottom line you can't have one without the other.

I can't choose one or the other because with good health I can focus on obtaining wealth along the way.

Money to buy the best healthcare in the world.

(I just don't see these two things as being mutually exclusive). Maybe a tougher decision would be personal wealth or the health of a third world village.

there are certain health conditions money can't fix.
if you have good health, you can enjoy life with such simple things as strolling in the park without having to spend money.
i'd hate life even while driving a ferrari if i was all sickly.

True, everyone has their own definition of what happiness is.. For some a stroll in the park is ok but sounds like something my grandfather did at 75. lol. If I knew I had a terminal disease then I would live life to the fullest regardless - travel as much as I could and experience every little nuance put forth before me without regard to location or money. And depending on the wealth that I had I would be a philanthropist travelling the world to help those most needy to construct lives which would last well beyond my death. So regardless whether I would die of a terminal disease or get well from a health issue that money could buy, I would still be way happier knowing finances (or lack thereof) would be a key issue. We are all mortal, we all will die sooner or later. It's what we construct of our lives and accomplishments that counts. True again, one life defines happiness different than another but having the money does make it that much easier to accomplish dreams. To me money and happiness is a symbiotic relationship.

just as everyone has their own definition of what happiness is, everyone has their own definition of living life to the fullest lol
my definition doesn't involve wearing a diaper and having to sit in a bed or a wheelchair all the time breathing through tubes.
that's a life i would reserve for when i'm 75 (actually, more like 85+ ). but then we're talking about now which most of us are in our prime (20s and 30s).

if i'm all sickly coughing out blood and can't even move without help, then regardless of how much money i have, i know i wouldn't be as happy as when i'm healthy without money.
