What are your neighbors like? Do you have nice neighbors or are they the "neighbors from hell"? Tell your story.

I haven't really gotten to know my neighbours much that moved in a couple of years ago, but I can tell you that their son is a brat.

He used to rattle the fence and upset the dogs to make them bark, then scream at them for barking. Then he used to throw cans and trash over the fence. Because he could see over the fence, I never caught him with my eyes, but I could sometimes hear him and when I went outside, he would run away and I couldn't catch him. Well, a year ago or so, I had a 6 ft wooden fence put up. It stopped the brat rattling the fence but instead he decided to start kicking it. Well, since the fence was much taller and wooden and he couldn't see over it, he didn't know if I was outside or not or in the garage. So one time I heard the little brat kick the fence. I immediately went out and caught him red handed. I told his parents. It stopped immediately LOL

I know some kids get bored easily but damn.

I've had some nasty neighbours in the past, but the one's I have now are pretty good. If I have a problem with neighbours it usually has to do with them being noisy, since I live in an apartment it's usually the neighbours living above me. The previous neighbours upstairs would turn up their stereo really loud and pretty late at night. My building has security people at night, so I'd keep calling them up. The people upstairs actually told the guard they wouldn't keep it down and they don't care if they are evicted, so they got evicted. When my current neighbours upstairs moved in initially I had to call security a few times, but now I think I have them well trained. Haven't had any problems for quite a while.
There was this one time at another apartment that I used to live in. I had turned on the stereo one evening and then decided that I wanted to watch tv. So I turned on the tv and after a while noticed that I could hear someone's stereo in the background. I was real pissed off at whoever the inconsiderate neighbours were that had turned up their stereo. Then I realized that it was my own stereo that I had forgotten to turn off.

LOL, don't you hate when that happens.

Happened to me several times. I put the headphones down from puter leaving itunes on. I come back turn on the tv or radio then I keep hearing a song played over and over. I then realize it's the itunes playing the same tune in repeat mode from the headset. hehe. Me thinking it was the neighbors having a loud party or leaving their slide doors open... lol

I have boring neighbors, thank goodness. 90% of my street is asian. Quiet, reserved, traditional, mine their own business type. I would say avg. age in their late 40's. My immediate neighbor to the left is a HK couple who has lived their for 20 yrs. Their kid is college age and occasionally can hear loud music but I think the parents finally have controlled that to almost nil. Neigbors to my right is also from HK. He is mid-50's and is a bank branch manager. The house recently went up for sale. He decided to move back to HK/China.

However, I do have a non-asian neigbor in the back who has a huge german shephard weighing at least a 100lbs. Hell, the dog house is at least 5ft high. Damn, when that dog barks its loud!! Any little thing will set him off.. Even gentle rustling of tree leaves.

My neighbors = one couple is from the phillipines and they constantly bring me food made out of eggs and I have told them several times I DONT EAT EGGS and I know they're just being nice but it does get annoying at times. The neighbors on the other side of me are pretty good, they're a nice couple with 2 kids that mine play with often even though they're a little older, mine are 3 and 6 and theirs are 8 and 13 but they still get along great. The 8 year old little girl I tend to spoil, I buy nail tips and acrylic from Sally's beauty supply and do her nails for her and I fix her hair, show her how to wear makup and sometimes let her paint with me, she's what inspired me to make art classes for kids this fall, she says art in school is almost nothing, they don't often have supplies and ect to teach them art. So basically- I set up my website to take donations of both money and supplies so that I can hold a class 2 days a week this september, they'll be free and any child can sign up. I won't just be teaching art, as many of you know I used to dance ballet (from when i was 3 till i was 17) and play the violin, so I'll be teaching a few forms of dance and music too! I think I have my neighbors to thank for that inspiration, because without their little girls interest in art I wouldn't have known how bad the school systems art programs are.

we had really weird next door neighbors when I was growing up. One time they got upset with my dad and built a face of milk crates between the two houses...I guess they were to cheap to go wooden fence route!

Anyway all the kids in the neighborhood hated him because he called the police on another neighbor who had a dukes of hazard horn installed and used to honk it whenever us kids were outside playing. The police made him stop and ruined all our fun.

The one thing that makes me laugh now, is that when I was about 4, I dug up all his tulips (I thought I was digging up onions) and gave them to him like I did him a great favor by picking his vegetables for him!

when i was in my teens i had a cat named Tiger and she was the best cat ever, still to this day i havnt known a cat like her, she woke me up for school cuz i couldnt get up with the alarm clock (i sleep like a log) she followed me everywhere, and she even saved my family from a house fire! she was a wonderful cat, she got outside one day and it was a complete accident because she was an indoor cat, and she dug up the neighbors flowers and poo'd in them, he fed her poison and she died. As revenge me, my sister, my cousin jimmy, my cousin daniel , my friend tara, my friend bear, all dressed up like ninja's all in black at about 3 am and armed with a multitude of attack methods (ie: fingernail polish remover, a lighter, toilet paper, frozen hotdogs, several naked barbies with the words "slut" written on them, and a can of creamed corn) we attacked and got revenge!

she actually dated my bf back when they were like 14, and then moved to texas sometime during highschool. she ended up dating his bestfriend for a couple years, and then decided to move back to colorado to be with him. he broke up with her once she got here, she had no where to go, no family or friends, so she lived with us for about a month, and then ended up renting the apt right next door.

last year i really questioned if i could be friends with her because she let her bi-polar get the best of her. after several relationships failed she tried to commit suicide, which was rough for me. she ended up marrying a guy she met during rehab, which was difficult for me to understand, BUT they are doing extremely well, and I'm glad things really worked out for her.

nowadays, we're shopping buddies and hollywood gossip pals. she is going to the paul mitchell hair school, so she does deep conditioning treatments on my hair, and always helps me with makeup and beauty stuff.

My next door neighbors have always been ok. But the lady who lives next door would always call the cops on us when we didn't do anything wrong. One time she called the po-po because one of the cars was parked in the swell of OUR lawn. But the worst thing that they ever did was hit my dog with a bat and break his jaw. My dog doesn't attack anyone, so I know Petey didn't do anything. He got into their lawn and one of them hit him. It was a horrible thing to actually hear the dog's yelp inside the house when he was outside! So yeah, her and her family are evil.
