Fat?

So I have been working out 2 hours a day for the past month, I appear thinner (I was 110 and 5'2") but I've gained weight????? (114 and 5'2") Am I still fat? Why did I gain weight when I've been working out extremely hard?

Muscle mass probably. Muscle ways a lot more then fat does so don't be discouraged. You probably gained some muscle and lost some fat

I agree with Bofonic above; muscle has higher density than fat, so you can technically become slimmer and at the same time, heavier (and this can make your swimming real hard if you do a TOO good job of this). I do not know what workout you are doing, but the real honest factor to put in for self-measure is your hip-waist ratio, as well as shoulder-waist (this applies to guys much more). Good luck and happy crunching!

This is why you should trust a full length mirror more than a bathroom scale. I don't even have a scale in my house. It's misleading. It gives you a number but doesn't tell you what kinda shape you're in.

Yeah. I'd say you have lost fat but gained muscle in the process. When I started lifting weights a few years ago I was 5'6" or so and about 130lbs. I'd weighted 130lbs probably from when I was in 7th grade or so until I was a sophmore in high school. Then my junior year I came back to school and around winter break I weighed about 155lbs. I put on some weight but I was in much better shape. Apparently I looked better too. :]

i dunooooooo cant tell all i see are ur shoulders/face might need to see more before i come to the conclusion that you look good. I totally pig out one day a week though , like usually saterdays i just get like a bunch of good stuff and junk food and totally thrash through it. like today breakfast = vegan sausages,1 pancake, syrup! lots of syrup mmm! and orange juice and coffee, then at lunch i totally gorged myself on spinach salad (i know ur thinking 'omg whats bad about salad' but the fact that it was drenched in dressing made it bad) and a peach and a activia yogurt (suprisingly has alot of sugar in it) then i ate like half a bag of bbq chips which was my choice JUNK for the day and for dinner im making alfredo pasta and broccoli which has more fat than i typically eat but its OK cuz its PIG OUT DAY!!!!!!!! yay!!!

Depends. Are you comparing yourself to a midget? If so then yes, you are fat. But compared to avg size 5.7 or 5.7 female than no, you're not fat. Most pinays are about your size actually.
