Best diet?
So what do you think the best diet is for losing like 30 pounds fast? (i gained quite a bit lol i'm at 132 now and i want back to 100 at least or 95). I read that jenny craig is pretty good, the lemonaide diet is decent for losing weight in mass, and the celery diet, how's that southbeach diet anyone try that?

Siren, unless you are so short that people think you have dwarfism, 132 lbs is a normal weight, if not great, for females. Dropping 30 pounds in short term is usually viable only at the cost of losing your health at a long-term, even if a person were moderately obese. For your case, you seem to want to drop 30 pounds out of normal body weight, and I personally would highly recommend you against doing this.
Best diet, like being on budget, is one that you don't feel you are on diet. You shouldn't feel enormous hunger and starvation each day. This way, you can live and not go through huge rebound because of the eventual down of our will-power (as it happens to us all). Just make your food somewhat more healthy, excercise moderately, and gun for few pounds loss...instead of thrity pounds. If you still insist on your goal though, I will tell you the only "medically recommended" (which doesn't always warantee that it is completely correct) method is to eat only one meal at lunch and drink water throughout the whole day. No breakfast, no dinner, no snack either. I would normally suggest you to eat 3-5 times a day with small portion each time, but that advise is for people who wants to drop a few, rather than 30, pounds. But make sure your lunch has enough protein (10-20+ grams at least), appropriate vitamin (A, C, E, D, and B-12, calcium, etc), and safe amount of slow-burning carbohydrate such as brown rice, potato, wheat breat, etc. Although it also sounds self-contradictory, you also need small amount of good fat, such as fish-oil, some olive-oil, which will catalyze your "fat burning" process in the body; yes, it sounds paradoxyc, but you have to have fat to burn fat. If you starve yourself of any one particular nutrition, especially fat, your body will store more fat % for every calorie intake. And once again, drink planty of water. It keeps you hydrated, makes you feel less hungry, and helps metabolism acceleration. All in all, health should always be the priority. But its your choice. Keep us updated. |

That's about my sister's height...and I will just say here that 132 lbs is not fat by all means for that height. Good luck

I don't rely on any of those Hollywood celebrity diets. I create my own by eating tons of fiber, mineral rich, low calorie foods & adapting a 2:1 carb to protein ratio and it works great. I am not losing weight but my belt size seems to be shrinking....fast.

Potatoes are a high GI source of carbs. I would replace them with a lower GI (& high fiber) source such as old fashioned oatmeal or black beans. |

There is no such thing as a best diet. You have to make life style changes including getting enough rest, eating right times in right combination. ot one with works for everone. But eating smaller healthier portions, walking more if you have an hr lunch walk 1/2 of it daily, a lot of water, fruits , veggies, fiber, if you have a juice extractor juice daily. Exercise I love my belly dancing videos , and weighted bar tapes/dvd.

eh, i try to eat chicken (i have been completely vegan for 12 years and recently i've been eating a little chicken) but it's so hard on my stomach, i get severe indigestion from it so even though my doctor basically said "if you dont start eating meat your gonna die" and threw insane bloodwork in my face, i'm still not real keen on ingesting a rotting animal carcus, it not only gives me indegestion badly but the meer thought of it makes me nausious sometimes just thinking about how the animal suffered so i could eat it, makes me sad too so the last time i ate chicken (like less than 1 full bite is all i could get down) i immediatly threw up, thats how bad it is for me. i know i 'have' to , and have to try, but its not easy at all. as for eggs, i only like them if they're disguised in something....like cake..lol
